Hello my name is Sgt Jason O'Hearn from 349 Campbellton squadron and I just finished my summer training and I would like to share my story hopefully you are able to post this.

Had a great 3 weeks at greenwood cadet training center at 14 wing greenwood. I took the advanced aviation course from July 31st - August 17th i have learned good skills that i can apply at home squadron 349 campbellton. I completed the course with difficultly it was challenging at times but with my great friends my family a phone call away and the exceptional work of the GCTC AAC staff would have not completed the course without all that support. This year I learned theory of flight, radio communication, air navigation, engines, meteorology, air law also how to teach an aviation class and got to try the dream flyer simulator. And I did have breaks from studying sometimes your the aviation museum went to a beach and amusement park played sports and relaxed when I could but when I had to study I studied and asked questions.Hopefully next year for my camps either airport ops or glider but if i do want to apply for those camps continue with ground school find a from the ground up textbook and study. My advice for cadets Interested in this course know it is a very academic course your textbook is your best friend but as long as you put effort in to it you will do fine don't be shy to ask for help that is what your staff is there for they want you to pass It's a great course to take if you want to go for your gliders or power. I had a great time learned new skills and meet new friends I hope anyone who takes this course in the future will be successful.
